The Grand Canyon Railway runs a scenic train trip to the South Rim and a winter journey to the North Pole aboard the Polar Express. Both train tours are pulled by vintage locomotives. Both have onboard entertainment. The train trip to the Grand Canyon affords views of Kaibab National Forest but not of the South Rim. It offers parents an opportunity to relax and provides kids with a break from the car. But it is by no means a high-flying Western adventure. Santa is the centerpiece on the Polar Express. This train tour is big hit with tykes and tots. 233 North Grand Canyon Blvd, Williams, Arizona 86046 | +1 (929) 7731976 +1 (800) 843 8724 |

Things to Keep in Mind The Grand Canyon Railway isn't the quickest way to reach the South Rim. - It takes 2 hours to travel 60 miles. - With only 3.5 hours on the rim, a same day is truly a quick visit. The train trip isn't as scenic as one might expect as the canyon isn't visible from the train. The entertainment is hit or miss. The entertainers openly solicit tips. Tickets for the Polar Express sell out months in advance.
